Anna Mazzola
Profile:
Anna advises individuals and organisations on a range of civil law issues arising from their encounters with the criminal justice system. Her areas of expertise include public law, actions against the police and other detaining authorities, human rights, information and data protection law and privacy and surveillance.
Anna is a member of the Solicitors International Human Rights Group, the Human Rights Lawyers Association, the Police Action Lawyers Group, Young Legal Aid Lawyers and Amnesty. She also advises on Liberty's Human Rights advice line.
Anna has written articles for Legal Week, the Solicitor’s Journal and other publications.
Anna studied English at Pembroke College, Oxford before converting to law. Prior to joining Hickman & Rose, she worked within the Government Legal Service for the Ministry of Justice, Treasury Solicitor’s Department and Attorney General’s Office.
