Legal Remedies for Abuses by the Criminal Justice System

Our reputation lies in upholding the rights of individuals - be they protesters, journalists, business people, victims of crime or prisoners – in claims against the police and other detaining and prosecuting bodies.

We secure justice and favourable settlements for clients who have suffered abuse and injustice at the hands of the UK government including Prison Service, the Crown Prosecution Service, HM Revenue & Customs and immigration detention centres.

We also deal with complex cases where the police are not fulfilling their positive obligations to protect victims of crime and to investigate and prosecute the offenders. Internationally this work involves the search for justice for victims of torture and other human rights abuses abroad.

For those whose relatives have died in custody or following contact with the police we seek answers and accountability.

We aim to hold the regulatory agencies to account, including the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Financial Services Agency.

We are one of very few firms specialising in applications under the Miscarriages of Justice scheme.
