Roland Ellis Roland Ellis

Profile:

Roland qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and joined Hickman and Rose in 2006. He is a solicitor-advocate with rights of audience in the higher courts. He has represented many clients from arrest to trial for a broad range of criminal offences including robbery, rape and attempted murder. He now specializes in fraud, money laundering and overseas corruption cases, and has experience in dealing with associated matters such as restraint and confiscation orders.

Roland also has expertise in handling road traffic offences and advising on the effects of arrests, cautions and convictions on current and future employment.

Roland is currently involved in drafting the LCCSA’s response to Government proposals to amend the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and his opinion on new case law is frequently quoted in legal journals. He has been described in the Legal 500 as being ‘one to watch’.
