Business Crime partner Andrew Katzen recently appeared alongside Neil Swift, of Peters & Peters, and three barristers from QEB Hollis Whiteman at a webinar at examining the prosecution of former Serco executives Nicholas Woods and Simon Marshall.
‘The Serco trial: what went wrong?’ explored the SFO’s decision on 26th April 2021 – half way through making its case in prosecution at trial – to offer no evidence against both men.
The SFO’s decision came after an eight year criminal investigation and a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) between the SFO and a Serco subsidiary company.
The fascinating event was chaired by QEB’s Adrian Darbishire QC and also heard from QEB barristers Tom Doble and Karen Robinson.
