Hickman & Rose is proud to have been recognised as one of the UK’s leading law firms in the 2025 edition of the Chambers and Partners legal directory.
As well as broad uplift in individual rankings, the firm retains its top Band 1 departmental status in the three specialisms of Serious & General Crime, Inquests, and Police Law.
Described as “an absolute criminal law genius”, Serious and General Crime head Jenny Wiltshire joins Daniel Machover and Stefano Ruis as a Star Individual. The “outstanding” Helen Stone meanwhile joins Ross Dixon and Kate Maynard as a Band 1 individual.
The Serious and General Crime department is described as “an absolute powerhouse” in which “the quality is unbelievable”. Jenny is “the safest and yet most innovative pair of hands in this space”. The guide affirms Hickman & Rose’s status at the forefront of inquest law, ranking the Band 1 department’s head Daniel Machover, and Kate Maynard, as Star Individuals, with Helen Stone in Band 1 and Toby Wilton ranked this year as an Associate to Watch. Daniel “deserves every superlative”, Kate “has got great judgement”, Helen is “highly trusted”, and Toby is described this year as “absolutely a rising star”.
