Hickman & Rose shortlisted as GIR’s Boutique or Regional Investigations Practice of the Year

9 Oct 2024

Hickman & Rose is proud to have been shortlisted as “Boutique or Regional Investigations Practice of the Year” in Global Investigations Review’s annual review of the best law firms working in financial crime worldwide.

Hickman & Rose was nominated for the prestigious global award for its work identifying flaws in the Autonomy Introspect disclosure review system used by the Serious Fraud Office in its largest criminal prosecutions.

GIR’s nomination said these “vital problems [….] could affect many other past and present cases pursued by the agency”. Their identification triggered “an internal review into “relevant cases” where the reported problems may have caused the agency to overlook potentially exculpatory information”.

Hickman & Rose has been nominated for the award alongside Allen & Gledhill, Singapore; Paul Cassell and Burns Charest in the US; and Schellenberg Wittmer in Switzerland.

Hickman & Rose’s role in uncovering the Autonomy flaw was covered by GIR here, and in the Financial Times here.
