Jenny Wiltshire in Justice Gap on changing way police treat criminal suspects
19 Mar 2019
Head of Serious and General Crime Jenny Wiltshire has been quoted in the Justice Gap in relation to Hickman & Rose research showing how change in the law to prevent criminal suspects being stuck in a ‘legal limbo’ on while on police bail has had the opposite effect.
“The changes to the police bail regulations were meant to end the injustice of people being kept in legal limbo for months on end as they waited for police to decide what to do. This shows the problem hasn’t gone away. In fact it’s got worse”, Jenny told The Justice Gap.
