Jenny Wiltshire in the Guardian on her client Omar Boucher

24 Mar 2020

Jenny Wiltshire has been quoted in the Guardian urging the police to conduct a ‘wholesale review’ following the quashing of her client Omar Boucher’s criminal conviction by the Court of Appeal.

Constantine “Omar” Boucher’s conviction for theft and assault was quashed after nearly 50 years after he other members of the so-called “Oval Four” were found to have been framed by a corrupt detective.

Jenny represented Omar at the Court of Appeal. She said: “The British Transport Police and the Home Office have known about this officer’s corruption for decades.”

“In my view, the BTP should now conduct a wholesale review of all this officer’s cases. It seems to me very likely that there may be many other victims of his corruption.”
