Jenny Wiltshire makes the case for a new suspect anonymity law in the Times newspaper

In the wake of the Cliff Richard case, Hickman & Rose’s Head of Serious And General Crime Jenny Wiltshire has written an opinion article for the Times newspaper in which she makes the case for a new anonymity law for criminal suspects.
Jenny writes that the media and the police currently ‘simply do not know whether they can name a criminal suspect’.
She goes on: ‘I believe that if parliament does as it is asked then the only reasonable answer is a new anonymity law preventing identification of criminal suspects until they are charged.’
