Aileen is a hugely experienced solicitor who represents individuals facing the full range of criminal allegations, from the most serious on the statute book to charges which, whilst relatively minor, pose a disproportionately large threat to her clients’ reputations and livelihoods.
In over 30 years of legal practice she has successfully represented individuals accused of assaults, drugs trafficking and murder, as well as fraud, corruption and money laundering. She is a highly approachable lawyer who takes pride in building an excellent rapport with her clients.
As well as criminal defence, Aileen offers legal advice to individuals who find themselves caught up in criminal investigations or proceedings, either as witnesses or victims. She also advises in complex confiscation proceedings and is particularly adept in cases where there are overlapping criminal and professional disciplinary proceedings.
Aileen is a founder member and current secretary of Women in Criminal Law and is also a member of the London Criminal Courts’ Solicitors Association, the Fraud Lawyers’ Association and the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.
She trained at Kingsley Napley and was the co-founder of Oury Clark, solicitors when she was ranked as a top tier individual in Chambers directory. She joined Hickman & Rose in 2011.
