Hamish joined Hickman & Rose in February 2019 and assists Daniel Machover and Eva Whittall with inquests, inquiries, actions against the police, public law challenges and civil fraud cases.
Hamish received an LLB (Hons) from BPP University and an LLM from City Law School. He obtained the Cynthia Terry BPTC Scholarship from Gray’s Inn and was called to the Bar in July 2018. During his BPTC year, Hamish was awarded the Sibel Dedezade Prize for pro bono work.
Before transferring to Law, Hamish worked as a Senior Researcher to a Member of Parliament and then as Communications Director for a disability charity. He recently provided pro bono legal assistance to a JUSTICE civil law reform working party and has written articles on human rights and public law. Hamish also volunteers with the Free Representation Unit, appearing before the First-tier Tribunal (Social Security).
