Laura joined Hickman & Rose in June 2018, where she currently assists Ross Dixon in the corporate crime department.
Laura gained a combined Bachelor of Arts/Law from the Australian National University in July 2014. She graduated with a First Class Honours in Law and her Honours thesis on joint criminal enterprise was published in the Australian Law Journal. She obtained a Diploma in Graduate Legal Practice in October 2015.
Laura qualified as a solicitor in Australia in December 2015 and currently works as a paralegal while she pursues qualification in England and Wales. Prior to joining Hickman & Rose she worked at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Sydney, where she prepared and instructed counsel in a wide range of trials for serious criminal offences in the District Court. She also worked for a judge in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, where she was involved in homicide and serious fraud trials and in criminal appeals. She was previously part of the team prosecuting Goran Hadić, charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity, at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
