Steffan is a solicitor in the criminal department specialising in business and economic crime. He currently works closely with Ben Rose for a number of defendants in major ongoing investigations including LIBOR.
Steffan has a wealth of experience in criminal matters, having spent over 10 years working in both prosecution and defence. From 2002 to 2010 he worked for the Crown Prosecution Service as a caseworker dealing with all types of major crime in complex lengthy Crown Court trials. Steffan has assisted with both high profile and highly sensitive cases.
His past work experience also includes a stint at Kingsley Napley where he was part of the team that secured the acquittal of a client prosecuted for insider dealing by the FCA.
Steffan trained at Fisher Meredith where he gained experience in a range of civil litigation areas which included claims for judicial review in challenging the decisions of public bodies. He qualified as a solicitor in October 2014.
Steffan has a BA (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Sussex, 2008. He completed his GDL and LPC at the College of Law, Bloomsbury.
