Head of Regulatory Law Andrew Katzen has written an article for Law360 in which he analyses how UK professional regulatory law has adapted to fit evolved social mores.
Andrew looks at the recent cases of Jon Frensham, Adam Fouracre, Gary Senior and Ryan Beckwith and explains how these, and others, have helped redefine what is understood by the ‘private’ and ‘professional’ realms.
He goes on to explain some potential issues with regulatory enforcement of private conduct, and explains what the tribunals and courts have done to limit this.
