Head of Regulatory Law Andrew Katzen has written an article for People Management magazine about the ways in which business owners and HR professionals should deal with a death in the workplace.

Andrew sets out the issues to consider when establishing an internal investigation, and explains how best to engage with the police, Heath and Safety Executive and inevitable coronial inquest.

As well as being traumatic and emotionally difficult, the aftermath of a death in the workplace can be a legal minefield through which business owners need to step very carefully.
