Tom Bushnell in FT Adviser on prospects for an FCA investigation into ‘mini-budget’ allegations
31 Oct 2022
Barrister Tom Bushnell has written an article for the FT Adviser in which he analyses recent calls for the FCA to investigate claims of insider dealing made in relation to the so-called ‘mini budget’.
Tom’s article, which forms part of the FT publication’s Continuous Professional Development material, sets out the basics of insider dealing law as it relates to professional financial advisers.
It concludes that, based on the evidence thus far made public, any investigation is unlikely to lead to a prosecution, but warns that the “FCA does take allegations of insider dealing seriously”.
