Peter Csemiczky analyses lack of criminal charges in Everyone’s Invited cases

Serious and General Crime partner Peter Csemiczky has been quoted in the Daily Mail, the Evening Standard and elsewhere discussing the revelation that London’s Met police have brought no criminal charges related to claims made on the Everyone’s Invited website.

The Met police launched its investigation into allegations on the website – which included numerous accounts of sexual misconduct apparently committed by schoolboys – over two years ago. The force did not explain why none made it to the charging stage.

Drawing on his experience working in this area, Peter explained that there is often a “gap between hope and reality” in these cases and said “it could be that some of the people involved were diverted from prosecution or a decision made that it was not in the interest of justice to pursue these matters”.
