Hickman & Rose recognised again in The Times’ list of best law firms
14 Nov 2025
Hickman & Rose has been recognised again by The Times newspaper as one of the best law firms in England and Wales.
Hickman & Rose has featured in The Times’ Best Law Firms list since it was first launched in 2018. The 2026 list includes Hickman & Rose in the three categories of Crime; Financial Crime, Fraud & Regulatory law; and Human Rights law.
In their write up of the firm’s work over the past 12 months, the list’s compilers reference the firm’s ground-breaking work for Carlo Palombo, the former Barclays trader whose EURIBOR-related fraud conviction was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2025
The compilers add: “The firm is acting for four other former traders — Jay Merchant, Christian Bittar, Philippe Moryoussef and Jonathan Mathew — who are seeking to appeal their rate-rigging convictions in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling.”
The Times also mentions the firm’s work for “high-profile clients, particularly against allegations of sexual and violent crime”, mentioning, as examples, musician client Chris Brown and footballer Thomas Partey.
