Tom Bushnell in FT Adviser on how to revoke an FCA prohibition order

Business crime and regulatory law barrister Tom Bushnell has written an article for the FT Adviser on the difficulties of revoking an FCA prohibition order, and how to overcome them.

Tom examines the separate cases of the financial advisers Arif Hussein and David King; one of whom was successful in his application to revoke an FCA ban, and one of whom was unsuccessful.

Tom uses the lessons of these cases to some offer advice on the best way to approach a potential legal challenge to an FCA imposed prohibition order, and suggests some ways in which the regulator may be able to bring more clarity to a process which can be rather opaque.
